Proximity Analysis

    Proximity Analysis:

        The proximity analysis in IGIS map tool lets the user create the spatial data filters or queries so that the user can get the access and provide relationship between two layers or points features or data.

       This proximity tool can be used to determine the relationship between the different layers of different types.The types of layers are  generally of three types i.e. point, line or polygon.

          This tool defines the relationship on the basis of these few factors:

  1.  Touch
  2.  Are closer than
  3.  Are Further than
  4.  Are Outside

           For proximity analysis user needs to follow these steps:

  • Click on Proximity Analysis under Map Tools Section.

                                           

  • Select the Layer you need to find features of in the Find section dropdown list.

                         

  • Select the relationship for analysis between B and Selected layer in the That dropdown list.

                          

  • Select the Layer you need to find features of in the Selected section dropdown list.

                         

  • Confirm a shape (circle , rectangle or polygon). User just need to select the shape and start drawing the following shape on the map to perform proximity analysis.

                         

  • Click on the Get result button after completely drawing the Proximity shape.
  • Now user can view the proximity analysis of features on the map portal.

           

  • User can now view the query result in the form of database table and can also download the data in the CSV format.
  • User can also save the queried layer as a new map by clicking on Save Layer button.
